4:39 pm	Darfur "The situation in Darfur has worsened dramatically in the past two days. Sudanese army troops, against their commitments to the U.N., have been denying humanitarian access to refugees (internally displaced persons) and forcibly relocating them. A story in Thursday's Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A23520-2004Nov3.html) describes the situation and quotes the U.N. envoy to Sudan as saying there were "strong indications that war crimes and crimes against humanity have occurred in Darfur on a large and systematic scale." To express your concern, you may call the Sudanese mission to the United Nations (212-573-6033) in New York to urge that international access to the camps be restored and that no involuntary relocation of civilians take place.
